Eat: CORM Kafe and Distro, Jasin, Malaysia.

Since I am currently living in Ayer Keroh, the town seems pretty far away from here especially during weekends, and weekdays mostly in the morning where people off to work and go home in the evening. I will always always avoiding these unnecessary traffics during these peak period (not too mention during public holidays as well).

Living in such a remote place away from the city is honestly not a joke. It took me several years to accept the fact that, driving to the city is actually a huge issue – with all the time and fuel consumption. On the bright side, this place is close to the PLUS Highway Exit 231 Ayer Keroh. This means, it is easier to guide our families and friends to visit our place once in a while (I am fully aware about this WAZE thing by the way).

Imagine Hannah, arriving at her granny’s place, feeling so happy when a mall wanna be build there, well, in Ayer Keroh, I have to leave the wig off, sitting on the grass for a while, and ride off her Blue Jeans instead. Ayer Keroh is more like a family-friendly small town.

More like Smiley Miley kinda day. Kids here went to the only mall here, groceries hypermarket, having dinner in local restaurants with pajamas on and it wasn’t really a big deal.

This place is more like Marrybrown and A&W compared to McDonalds. Warm and cozy. Well, I am so glad I am getting use to it now.

Inspired scene in Hannah Montana : The Movie.

I am at the end of the Ayer Keroh and the district of Jasin is just few kilometers away from here. I am going to utilize it anyway as the only island that hasn’t been discovered yet.

Ayer Keroh – Bemban – Jasin
There are three recognize districts in Melaka namely Melaka Tengah, Jasin, and Alor Gajah.
I am in the middle of the end point of Melaka Tengah and the starting point of Jasin.

I am quite hesitated to write about this place actually cause I am so afraid that, it will go viral and the place will ended up be like the Klebang Original Coconut Shake where you can’t tell locals anymore and the signature taste became more dull and pale (it’s still good but, no longer exclusive to locals especially someone like me). No longer able to indulge in something prepared in front of my own eyes, looking sharply at the person cutting the coconut and the thrill of “I hope I wouldn’t be witnessing anything bloody injury here”, queuing with my sister and her friends, talking some real shit jokes, and the best part was when our turn has arrived and there you go, special coconut shakes blended just for ya (that annoying request – we need lots of ice cream here and there, please ensure we didn’t have to taste the coconut but still, we do need coconut shakes here) Nowadays, everything were being placed in freezer, take them out, pay, and drink and eat there, and just leave as fast as you can cause that seat belongs to someone else cooler than you.

Somehow, tonight I have this lovely feeling of sharing my favorite dining spot or should I call it as my sanctuary. Not a cool kid but this place truly accept me as one of those cool kid on the block. Thank you very much. This is not a paid review. This is preserving good memories and thoughts that seems so outdated nowadays.

I was here few back years and I started to fall in love with this place when they served such a pleasant nice hot English breakfast tea with two pieces of local dried bread crackers spread with margarine and white granulated sugar a.k.a. “Biskut Kering yang ada Planta dengan Margerin tu” (with all the spreading gestures) by locals.

Back from Pulau Perhentian had made me eating like Anacondas. Two plates of Aglio Olio please, just for me on that fine late evening with Fara. A glass of apple juice too, just to remind me of the fresh salty water in Perhentian Island and the pleasure of walking by the fine sandy beach. Sunny day and still yet reminiscent.

This place is like, a place meant for my favorite person in life. I bring along my travel buddy here, Fara, she is my paternal cousin anyway, few weeks ago and she was so happy in here, I had no idea with all the indie stuffs but I am fully aware that she will love this place as much as I do, so she did. I am the 77000 kafe, and she is more like the CORMisMe. I love the comfort food in here, while she was like, half and hour checking on the indie stuffs – CD’s, shirts, and books until I was like “Hey, our food are here”. She did bring “The Sex Pistols” book on the table…and I accidentally came across this old pages.

But Nico was a strange one. She was a weirdo. Nico was a fucking weirdo, I mean that’s all there is to it. Beautiful, but weirdo.

You didn’t have a relationship with Nico.

Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain, at page 19.

I love this paragraph, does it mean, I am one of the indie cool kid now?

Quite funny and dumb when I don’t even know who’s in the poster but yet Fara was like, please take a picture of me here. I’m like, okay, the radio looks cool too and the chair frame, is that vintage or just malfunctioning.

Basically, I need to respect her passion.

I think I’m going to bed now. It’s getting late but I already had a goodnight sleep earlier today at 2100hrs.

Let’s write about this Aglio Olio. I was hunting for the best Aglio Olio in town and the prawn olio in here is the second best in my Top 2 Most Sumptuous Aglio Olio in Melaka. Simple, inviting, light, economic, homemade and really close to my heart. I tried to imitate this recipe and it wasn’t that easy. Maybe I need to cook for one (one day) in a Skillet instead of a full loaded spaghetti stuffed in the Braisers.

It is strictly forbidden to eat in this area where all the indie stuffs were being kept.

I started to miss this place.

Looking at this corner, I remember my favorite scene in Suits.

You give me this, and I will work as hard as it takes to school those Harvard douches and become the best lawyer you have ever seen.

I still couldn’t believe to complete my Legal Studies for like seven years. I am now officially a Rachel Zane (when she was a paralegal). I thought I would be the sweet Jenny forever. I do love Jenny. Her outfits mostly, her voice, her honest eyes, her innocent face, and her calm mature traits.

I think I’m going to leave this here for now. I got few hours left to keep going for tomorrow. Gonna take one step at a time from now on.

Yours truly,
